DISTANCE REIKI THERAPY
WHAT IS DISTANCE REIKI?
Distance Reiki is where a client receives Reiki without being physically present with the Reiki Practitioner. Distance Reiki can be facilitated for anyone, anywhere and at any time.
Distance Reiki works according to an ancient principle called the Hermetic Law of Similarity which holds that we are all connected, as we are all made of energy and part of a larger whole. Invoking this law during a distance Reiki session allows the Reiki Practitioner to connect to the energy field of the recipient.
Distance Reiki (or Reiki in absentia) for the most part is the same as hands-on Reiki in the sense that the session involves the same set of hand positions on the body and the timing of the positions is completely guided by your energy body’s Creative Intelligence.
The only real difference between hands-on Reiki and distance Reiki is that a proxy is used in place of your body and you aren’t physically there in front of the Reiki Practitioner, lying on the massage table with the Practitioner's hands directly on your body for those positions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
FOR YOUR DISTANCE REIKI SESSION
PRIOR TO YOUR DISTANCE REIKI SESSION
You will be asked by your Reiki Practitioner to provide for a clear photo of your face (with no eye-coverings such as sunglasses that hide your eyes in the picture). This, along with sacred symbols enables your Reiki Practitioner to connect with your energy field. Alternatively, you may attend the session via Skype or Zoom and lie down in a comfortable position with the screen facing you for the duration of the session.
SACRED SYMBOLS
Your Reiki Practitioner will commence the session using three sacred symbols, one of which is the 'distance symbol'. When invoked, this symbol allows them to connect with your energy body which allows your energy body (through your Reiki Practitioner as the conduit) to draw in the Reiki energy across time and space.

Upon invoking the symbols, your Reiki Practitioner will commence the series of Reiki hands placements, much like they would on your physical body in a hands-on Reiki session, using a proxy for your body.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO DURING THEÂ DISTANCE REIKIÂ SESSION
If you are not attending the session via Skype or Zoom, you do not need to do anything during the session. Most clients simply go about their day as normal.
AFTER-SESSION DEBRIEF
If you attend the Reiki session via Skype or Zoom, time will be allocated after the session to chat about anything that may have come up for you that you wish to share, any questions or concerns.

If you were not present during the session, a follow up phone call will be arranged for that discussion

If any psychic impressions have come through to assist you in your next stage of healing and growth, you will be asked if you would like to receive and discuss them. This is not Reiki and is entirely optional and based on your comfort level.

BENEFITS...
Whether you have distance Reiki or hands-on Reiki, the Reiki you receive is exactly the same.
However, some people love distance Reiki because of the convenience of not having to set aside time to physically attend an in-person session or saving on travel time by attending via Skype or Zoom. Clients love being able to receive the full benefit of Reiki with the added convenience of distance Reiki. Further some clients who travel a lot or live interstate or overseas utilise Distance Reiki as their main source of Reiki Healing because they are geographically unable to attend a Reiki session in person.
